- Jesse read the letter that AVAA sent out to all residents.
- If the sale goes through and AVAA is disbanded, we will refund monies to all who contributed based on the proportion given.
- If the sale does not go through, we have a contingency offer with the assistance of ROC for $18 million. We can also apply for grants and receive a lower interest rate.
On average, if a co-op is formed, lease amounts may increase by $25/month. To clarify, ROC has stated that on average, residents whose parks have been purchased have seen rents increased by approximately $100, so factoring in what we will be paying May 1 and the reduction of our automatic withdrawal discount, the net increase will be approx. $25 after May 1.
Grayson will host a meeting with our community.
ROC will support our purchase for 10 years.
ROC Capital will take over our loan.
Questions From Residents
Q: How will we communicate when there is news?
A: We have AVAA meetings scheduled every 6 weeks and will meet and will cancel only if there is nothing to report.
Q: What to do about septic issues and driveway issues.
A: The county coordinates inspections and inspects yearly, cleaning and pumping every 3 years.
- If within 200 feet of city sewer lines, the property will be connected at the new property owner’s expense.
- If we are owners, there will be a reserve fund set up as part of the sale to handle costs, as well as other emergencies.
Q: What is the status of driveway repairs?
A: Harry reported that Jeff told him they are going to be repairing driveways concurrently with the proposed sale. Stay tuned.
