Meeting Notes
Co-chaired by Kathleen C. and Beck E. Attendance: 12 residents, including one new attendee.
1. Attorney Report
The committee reported that negotiations are progressing. James Randall has been in active negotiations with Alonda LLC. The most recent asking price is $19,000,000. The ROC resource was also highlighted as an available option as discussions continue.
2. Educational Initiative
Harry has enrolled in an online course on forming mobile home park co-ops. We look forward to the insights he brings back to the committee.
3. Community Outreach — “Your Voice Is Important.”
The group discussed why some residents may have concerns about AVAA’s efforts and how best to invite those concerns in a constructive, forward-moving way.
Diane Adair moved to draft and distribute a community-wide letter to gather individual concerns and any useful information residents may have. The working title is “Your Voice Is Important.”
Motion approved unanimously.
4. Treasurer’s Report
Current bank balance: $8,068.41
5. Fundraising
No new fundraising projects at this time. Copies of the Recipes and Remembrances cookbook are still available for purchase.
6. Future Meetings
The meeting currently on the calendar is cancelled. The date and time of the next meeting will be announced.
