Our mission is to grow and foster a self-reliant community of adults age 55 and over, with the vision of transforming Alonda Villa Mobile Home Park into a resident-owned community, supported by the values of community, friendship, and compassion.
Below are the latest updates and important information for residents:
Legal & Purchase Process Update
Update: James Randall of the law firm Bean, Gentry, Wheeler & Peternell, PLLC has reached out to ROC (Resident Owned Communities) and made contact. ROC is sending over the information required for residents to purchase Alonda Villa Park. Mr. Randall will review the materials and provide guidance on next steps.
Regarding residents’ legal rights, a separate attorney specializing in Landlord–Tenant Law will be consulted through the same firm. A meeting will be scheduled in the near future.
Please bring any concerns or issues to the committee as soon as possible so they can be addressed with the attorney.
In addition to retaining legal counsel, the committee will also be meeting with local banks and financing institutions to learn more about possible financing options and any potential barriers to purchasing Alonda Villa Park from Alonda LLC.
Community Initiatives & Improvements
Welcome Committee
A new Welcoming Letter for new residents was proposed, drafted by Carrie Enge, and approved. It is being printed and will be included in all future welcome packets.
Driveway Repairs
Several of the seven driveways identified as below ADA standards have now been measured and reviewed by the owners for potential repairs. We are hopeful these will be addressed soon.
Permit Clarification
Please note an important correction:
- Permits are not the responsibility of Alonda LLC or Jeff (maintenance manager).
- Permits are the responsibility of the hired contractor.
- Contractors may take up to two weeks to submit required paperwork to the county, depending on the nature of the repair.
- Often, the type of permit required is not known until excavation reveals the full extent of damage.
Septic Systems
According to the county health department, all current septic systems at Alonda Villa Park — including bubblers — are in legal compliance with county and state regulations.
If you have concerns, please contact your local county health department directly.

Help with Utility Costs
With rising costs affecting many residents, there are programs available to help low-income seniors.
One option is the Puget Sound Energy FLEX Program, which helps with electricity assistance and supports green energy participation.
